Ostrich skins are distinct not least for the easily recognisable scale variations, but also for their surface texture and availability in both striking and subtle hues. As these unique skins are found only on a small strip of leg skin on the ostrich, unblemished and scar-free portions are rare. Though they come from flightless birds, we have to say, nothing has stopped these articles from helping all manner of timepieces take flight.
